Shastri had a good friendship with Lion of South Shri Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar, as both ideologies were same. Both were keen on Hinduism and National Interest, both distanced themselves from Gandhiji.

Right Honour Srinivasa Shastri was known for his oratory skills in English. His english would make britishers affright. Once Shastri had gone to benaras hindu university to speak about India and Hinduism in English. He met Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar in VARANASI. He invited Thevar to the meeting.

Shrinivasa shastri went up to the stage and started with “My dear friends, i introduce you Mr.Devar, the lion from south, whose oratory skills in english is a marvel, his knowledge on Indology and Hinduism is more than that of mine.”

Shrinivasa shastri welcomed devar aiya with a note “I request diamond studded golden mouth, the lion from South, the pride of India Mr.Pasumpon MuthuRamaLinga Devar on stage.”

Thevar started his speech, he ended his speech after 15 minutes. Audience requested him to continue. And after 2 hour 30 minutes, he ended his speech. There was a thunderous applause from Audience and everybody invited him again and again for his speech, still he stayed in varanasi.

Shrinivasa Shastri in the end was more associated with Muthuramalinga Thevar and Subash Chandra Bose.
